  • The Needles Park: This landmark attraction is one of the Isle of Wight’s most iconic locations. The Needles Chairlift suspends riders over Alum Bay, giving them a stunning view of the cliffs, water, and rock formations.
  • Isle of Wight Music Festival: Newport is home to this annual music festival which dates back to 1968. Some of the greatest musical artists of our time have participated in the festival, including Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, The Who, and many more.
  • Osborne House: Osborne House was built in 1845 as Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s summer home. Today it is one of the most accessible former royal residences. Visitors can see everything from the royal family’s private beach to the room in which Queen Victoria died.

The Isle of Wight is the largest island in England. The island is shaped like a diamond. The island runs 24 miles from east to west, while the northern and southern tips of the island are only 14 miles apart. In total, the island is 148 square miles, twice as big as Paris and Manhattan combined. The Isle of Wight is also the second most populous island in England after Portsea Island.

Where Can I See White-Tailed Eagles on the Isle of Wight?
Nature conservationists have reintroduced the White-Tailed Eagle to the Isle of Wight in the past few years. While these eagles are rare, visitors can see them on occasion. Find high ground on a sunny day to increase your chances of seeing a White-Tailed Eagle. It may take some patience, but you should look out for big flocks of agitated crows and jackdaws or buzzards diving or calling a particular spot. These might be signs of a nearby White-Tailed Eagle.
