I have been organising group trips with Daishs every year since 2010 and have never experienced anything other than excellent service from the groups organising team.The most recent trip to the Isle of Wight was without doubt the best. The help, patience and support from Laura and Chloe ensured that the organisation, booking, travel arrangements, hotel room allocations and service throughout was exemplary. Craig and Paul, our 2 coach drivers, were reassuring, efficient, patient and even managed to get us booked onto an earlier ferry so allowing a good 7-8 mile walk on our arrival day.

The hotel looked beautiful in its setting within its lovely gardens, and had a warm and welcoming feel to it. The staff were magnificent, nothing was too much trouble and they saw to all our requests capably and effectively. The food was really excellent too with plenty of choices on offer.

The reception staff were extremely helpful, even mapping out my walks as they advised re coastal erosion and shut roads and paths , and the evening entertainment was, as always, thoroughly entertaining!! We hired a coach for one day and had a thoroughly enjoyable and full day on West Wight with Craig who was so interesting and knowledgeable.

Everyone in my large group has told me that this last trip was by far the best in every way and nearly 80 of us are already booked into the Esplanade Hotel in Scarborough for 2025.

In February 2024 we took 32 friends on our annual Giltbrook Tours, this time to Newquay. We have organised these annual trips with Daish’s to a variety of your hotels for the past 10 years.

We are a group of over 60s who are primarily walkers. The journey down and back to Nottingham was as usual, flawless with the drivers doing an excellent job, being very flexible regarding comfort breaks.

The Barrowfield Hotel was ideally placed and we were able to do some lovely walks from the hotel taking in the Cornish coastline. Those who didn’t walk took advantage of the trips arranged by the hotel.

The staff, as usual, worked extremely hard to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The food was good and hot and the entertainment was up to Daish’s usual standard.

Next February we are looking forward to taking our group to the Somerset Hotel in Llandudno, this will be our second visit. During the many years dealing with the Group Team of Daish’s we have always had professional and helpful service with nothing being too much trouble.

I just wanted to let you know we had a fabulous time at Blackpool! All 30 of us and the 4 dogs loved it.

I would also like to say that the staff at the hotel were fabulous - the best we’ve experienced. A special shout out to the lovely lady from the coffee shop; the chef Chris who was so customer focussed and made the best Yorkshire puddings; and also to Neil who was a great character and provided an amazing afternoon of Easter games.

I also want to thank you for making sure all of our room requests, dietary requests and birthday requests were passed on effectively to the hotel. Everything was great and as an added bonus the hotel even gave me a thank you card and chocolates for the booking! There was also loads of Easter eggs for us to enjoy and hot cross buns on Good Friday.

Our only complaint would be our lack of success on the bingo!!

Our trip was superb!! The group really enjoyed themselves - walking by day and dancing by night. The Barrowfield was perfect for us! Our hikers can't speak highly enough of the hard working staff at the hotel. Long hours for them but they always worked with a smiley face and plenty of enthusiasm. Well done to them!

All the walks went very well - I'm pleased to say! My much-planned guided itinerary over the three days worked a treat: we walked from the hotel on two days and the 19 who wanted to, enjoyed a walk from our Padstow excursion location as well.

The hikers certainly had fun - and that is thanks to the help of both of you at Daish Groups, especially Karen for her quick responses when the group was in its formation stage which helped get it off the ground promptly, allowing me to capitalise on the rapid interest there was for this break. The patience with the room/name changes, the special requirement list and the suggestion of the coach was invaluable. All very efficient and so much appreciated - thank you both for a wonderful job done so well!
