Windermere Day Trip
Bowness
The first stop on our day trip to Windermere is Bowness. Situated about halfway along the lake it has developed into a popular tourist centre. There are plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. It's also the place to catch a ride on one of the many
cruises around the lake, or if you want to take charge you can also hire a boat for an hour or two and go wherever you want to.
In the town there is the
World of Beatrix Potter attraction where you can learn about her life and see some of her famous characters come to life.
