Beachy Head & Brighton Day Out

Beach Head
Beachy Head attracts thousands of visitors throughout the year. Drawn to the magnificent scenery, the dramatic views and the wealth of activities offered in the area, visitors of all ages find relaxation and excitement here. Beachy Head is famous for its white cliffs and the dramatic, undulating coastline created by the Seven Sisters but there is much more to explore.

Beachy Head is also close to the South Downs Way, a national treasure of a trail that runs for 100 miles between Winchester and Eastbourne. So whether you’re into walking, cycling or horse riding, the South Downs Way offers an incredible opportunity. So when you visit Beachy Head, be sure to explore!

Brighton
Brighton is synonymous with the seaside and no visit would be complete with out a stroll along it’s famous pier. Don’t forget to catch a Punch and Judy show for some classic seaside fun and laughs.

Brighton is also famous for The Lanes, a series of twisting alleyways with a splendid mix of boutique fashion and antique and jewellery shops. When your legs have had enough take time out in one of the coffee shops where you can be entertained by one of the buskers.
For the braver visitor take a trip on the British Airways i360 experience. Ride in the futuristic glass pod 450ft into the sky for unparalled views of Brighton and the surrounding area. At the foot of the tower is a brasserie, cafe, tea rooms, exhibition and shop. The fully enclosed aerodynamically shaped futuristic glass viewing pod is spacious – 10 times the size of a London Eye capsule with room for up to 175 visitors to stand at the edge of pod and look out. There is plenty of space to move around and see the view from different angles. The pod is heated and air-conditioned to ensure all-year-round comfort. It is fully accessible for wheelchair users and there is bench seating and a Sky Bar.

If you prefer to travel in a more nostalgic way then why not take a trip on the Volk’s Electric Railway. A round trip on this historic railway along the seafront takes about 30 minutes.

And don’t forget to treat yourself to a stick of Brighton Rock!
