Weymouth Sea Life Centre
Take a fascinating and fun journey into the ocean depths through 14 themed zones. There are over 1000 creatures to get up close to and don't miss the amazing Ocean Tunnel.
The interactive Rockpool experience give's you a chance to touch a starfish, hold a crab, and see some of the creatures of our own shoreline
2015 saw the opening of Ray Lagoon with new Cownose Rays! Watch them swim in formation and play in the bubbles along the surface. As you might have guessed, the Cownose Ray gets its name from its indented snout – which looks similar to a cow’s nose. But there’s much more to these amazing creatures than cow comparisons.
The Rainforest display now has new larger tanks which contain some exciting new residents to this South American themed display. One of the new creatures that guests are able see are blue Poison Dart Frogs. These creatures use their vivid colouring to warn predators that their skin contains a dangerous poison. Possibly the most impressive addition to the Rainforest display is the new floor to ceiling tank, home to some old favourites including Gordon the Giant Gourami who shares his new tank with River Stingray, Catfish and Plecostomus. And of course don’t forget to watch out for our Red Bellied Piranha…!
While you enjoy your day at the park make sure you don't miss out on feeding times for the various animals. During these times the keepers will teach you more about the amazing creatures in their care.
