2015 saw the opening of Ray Lagoon with new Cownose Rays! Watch them swim in formation and play in the bubbles along the surface. As you might have guessed, the Cownose Ray gets its name from its indented snout – which looks similar to a cow’s nose. But there’s much more to these amazing creatures than cow comparisons.
The Rainforest display now has new larger tanks which contain some exciting new residents to this South American themed display. One of the new creatures that guests are able see are blue Poison Dart Frogs.
