Rydal Mount

Rydal Mount, was William Wordsworth’s best loved family home. Situated in the heart of the English Lake District, it lies between Ambleside and Grasmere and commands glorious views of Windermere, Rydal Water and the surrounding fells. 

The house, which was a focus for romantic literature, continues to be owned by the Wordsworth family and retains the feel of a lived in family home.

Go as a regular visitor and enjoy the family feel of the Poet’s favourite house. Walk in the garden and see the views of Windermere and Rydal Water. Alternatively you could go on an exclusive tour and have a guided tour of the garden or have a Lakeland cream tea or a romantic dinner in the Poet’s dining room.
