Russell Cotes Museum

Russell Cotes Museum

Situated just the other side of Bournemouth Pier to the Bournemouth Sands Hotel you can discover all that the Russell Cotes Museum has to offer.

The house was built by Merton Russell Cotes in 1901 as a present to his wife Annie. They proceeded to fill this beautiful cliff top house with amazing objects from their travels around the world. The walls are lined with some remarkable pieces of Britsh art.

There are now 4 purpose built galleries, 3 commisioned by Annie and opened by Princess Beatrice in 1919 and the 4th in 1926, each displaying some of the collections works. With changing events and displays throughout the year you can visit time and time again and always see something new. For the latest information on what’s on please visit the Russell Cotes Museum website.
