Watch the big cats devour lunch, visit the creepiest crawlies in the atmospheric tropical house and learn more about conservation - Newquay Zoo is home to some critically endangered species including the beautiful Red Pandas, Owston’s Civets and Black Wildebeest.
There are several specific attractions, such as the Secret Garden where you can escape for some peace surrounded by trees, plants and wildlife. Or head to the Oriental Garden, designed in a Japanese style, complete with animals native to Asia such as Prevost's squirrels, Owston's civets and short clawed otters.
For a more immersive experience head to the Gems of the Jungle exhibit which has birds flying freely around you, including the rarest animals at Newquay Zoo, the pair of Javan green magpies. The Tropical House is where you will find the insects, snakes as well as the two-toed Hoffman's sloths who are usually sleeping high up in the branches.
