Llandudno Pier

Llandudno Pier

Llandudno Pier

You can’t stay at the Somerset Hotel and not take a stroll along the prom to Llandudno Pier. Built in 1878, it stretches 2295ft into the Irish Sea. Unfortunately a fire ravished the pier in 1994 leaving just the ornate wrought iron supports standing, it has subsequently been refurbished and is now often referred to as the “Queen of Welsh Piers”.

The modern day pier hosts a wide variety of food outlets, sweet shops, coffee shops, a cafe and a bar. Further shops provide a wide choice of souvenirs and gifts to buy. During the summer there is a traditional Punch and Judy show with daily performances.

The pier has two amusement arcades. One at the promenade end featuring all the latest games and one at the far end which has all the classics such as 2p pushers and pinball.
