Betws-y-Coed
Betws-y-Coed is the Official Gateway to Snowdownia. This lovely village has shops to browse for souvenirs of your trip to the National Park and gifts to take home for friends and family.

The Swallow Falls are considered to be one of the loveliest spots in North Wales. Here the river rushes down from the mountains and the jagged rocks divide the stream into a number of foaming cascades.







Llanberis
Now you’ve been through the gateway we take you to Llanberis, right in the heart of Snowdon. It’s a town bordering the edge of a lake. It is home to many local attractions such as the Slate Museum and Electric Mountain.

The village itself is a thriving, bustling, hive of activity where you will hear the spoken Welsh language in predominance, testimony to this areas rich cultural heritage. There are plenty of independently owned shops selling crafts, books, artworks, as well as home made ice creams!

Llanberis is an area rich in history, myths and legends and has a strong cultural heritage. Take a walk around the Slate quarries of Llanberis and you will easily take yourself back in time.
