2012 – Filling fast, 2013 on sale now!!

Group bookings have continued to break all records. We have already overtaken our total for the whole of 2010, are surging ahead with 2012, and have several confirmed bookings for 2013. Our ever popular Tinsel and Turkey holidays are as popular as ever!. Our 2011 T&T dates are almost full – call quickly if you are interested. As usual, our 2012 dates go on sale to groups BEFORE our individual guests see them, giving groups the chance to get the date and the hotel they want. And groups can book 2013 now too (10 already have!).

Daish’s DVD – now available. Show your group members what Daish’s is all about!
A film crew was out and about in our hotels in early May, recording for a new Daish’s DVD. Directed and scripted by our advertising agency, Mostly Media, and filmed by Silverback Productions, the 5 minute film features shots of all four hotels, our coaches and drivers and destinations. Call or email me if you would like a copy – or you can see it on our website or YouTube. We will also be distributing it at exhibitions and other events.

GTO Magazine Awards, London Friday June 10th – close but no cigar!
We were again delighted to be finalists in the 2011 GTO Magazine awards, held at London’s Park Riverside Hotel. Our category, “Most Friendly Hotel Group” in an extremely competitive one, and we found ourselves against the likes of Hilton, Best Western and eventual winners, Britannia Hotels – all huge companies compared to wee Daish’s. But, I guess you don’t have to be big to be friendly! We enjoyed the entertainment and came home determined to be even friendlier, so that we can win the top award. Thanks so much for everyone who nominated/voted for us.

See Daish’s at Group Leisure Show at the NEC, Birmingham 21st-22nd September, Stand 407
After being nominated as finalists in the Group Leisure Awards for the last 3 years we have attended the show and the awards as a visitor, with Julia winning the 2010 Excellence Award. This year we are pleased to say that after 4 years we are returning to the Group leisure show as exhibitors, so you can come and say hello at stand 407.

NEWQUAY GTO WEEKEND 23rd-26th MARCH 2012
We are now taking bookings for our next GTO Weekend, from March 23rd -26th 2012 in our Barrowfield Hotel in Newquay. This will be a three-night “group organiser only” package, including a full day and a half day excursion, presentations from Daish’s colleagues and other partners, and is a great way to see why the Barrowfield is such a hit with groups, and some of the great excursions ideas we can offer your groups.

Our Barrowfield hotel is proving more and more popular with groups – I have several “whole hotel” bookings there in 2012 and 2013 – and it is scoring top marks on guest questionnaires for their food and friendliness of the staff. They have also invested heavily in the rooms, refurbishing bedrooms and public areas, and installed many more walk in showers.

“Daish’s Decades” – entertainment specials
Our entertainment specials have been really popular this year – with a great mix of oldies and Goldies, originals and tribute, usually for a weekend as part of a longer holiday. For 2012, we will be adding more of these specials – under the banner of “Daish’s Decades” – with FOUR evenings of top entertainment from yesteryear, from any of the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. As well as offering some great acts, we will have dancing, competitions and prizes for your group to win. Call for dates and details .

Up-grade your room! (Shanklin and Newquay only)
For those of you who would like a little bit extra on your holidays our Daish’s and Barrowfield hotels will be offering “Premium Rooms” – larger, with garden views (Shanklin) and extra touches. So, if any of your groups are celebrating or just like to be spoilt, try a Daish’s upgrade, for just 10% extra! (Numbers are limited).

New. Pre-pay your excursions AND SAVE MONEY!
Optional excursions are available on each of your group’s holidays, bookable when you get to the hotels. For 2012, group members can pre-pay their excursion(s) when you make the booking. This will save them money too – a pre-booked day excursion will cost just £6 (you would pay £8/9 on arrival). Ask for your excursion vouchers at time of booking.

2012 Insurance offer - £10 if booked and paid by December 30th
Group members can book our Towergate Travel insurance policy for a reduced price of just £10 per person (no minimum numbers necessary). Ask at time of booking.
