How to book - the Daish's J-Team
Bookings for our holidays are taken by Daish’s Travel Office in Torquay. Our team of Jill, Gillian, Jane, Julie, Julia and Jules – know as the J-Team – are always happy to offer advice on your holiday and help you through the booking process. If you do need to speak to the hotel directly, ask the J-Team for the number.

You can now also check availability and book your holiday online on (£5 per person discount for most online bookings).

Important information and booking conditions

  1. All prices quoted are per person, including dinner, bed and English breakfast, live entertainment and VAT at the current rate
  2. More single rooms in 2013, but at a (small) price. The demand for single rooms has been huge so we are making more available. Many of these will be larger rooms, which would normally take two people. In order to do this, we are changing our single room policy a little; FOR ALL NEW 2013 BOOKINGS, ALL SINGLE ROOMS IN ALL HOTELS WILL HAVE A SUPPLEMENT OF JUST £10 PER PERSON (THAT'S FOR THE WHOLE HOLIDAY, NOT PER NIGHT). Single occupancy in a double or twin room might incur a supplement which could be up to 100%, subject to availability
  3. Triple and family rooms can also be requested
  4. All hotels have lifts, there are stairs to some rooms
  5. All rooms are ensuite with bath or shower, or shower over the bath
  6. A deposit of £50 per person is required (£100 for Christmas Holidays); the final balance is due 6 weeks before arrival. Bookings made within 4 weeks of travel should be paid in full at time of booking, by debit or credit card
  7. Payment can be made by debit card (no surcharge), credit card (with 1.5% surcharge) or cheque to Daish’s Travel. A cash payment on arrival at the hotel is not accepted
  8. A child aged 0-5 years inclusive, sharing with an adult, travel free Children aged 6-15 years will be charged 50% of the adult price
  9. Cancellation fees may apply in the event of you cancelling a holiday. Please see our "terms and conditions" for full details

There are many reasons for booking your Daish’s holiday as early as possible. Early bookers have first choice of coach seats, and the better hotel rooms are generally allocated to those who have booked first. It also guarantees your choice of holiday – almost all our holidays are fully booked. We also have early booking discounts at certain times of the year. Of course, you are always welcome leave to your booking until later, and holidays can be booked right up to the day of arrival. Bookings made within four weeks of arrival must be paid in full with debit or credit card at time of booking.

Daish’s Holidays are almost always full! On the rare occasions when there are any unsold rooms, the price for subsequent bookings may be reduced at short notice. Holidays at the reduced rate will be available to new bookings only. Priority in room allocation and special requests is always given to those customers that booked earlier.

Daish’s customers who have travelled at least 4 times can become members of our PLUS FOUR. Members will be given first priority for booking holidays where the price has been reduced and will receive other great special offers from time to time.

PETS: dogs are not permitted on Daish’s coaches but, if a small, well-behaved breed, they are permitted in the hotel if you book a self-drive holiday – the charge is £10 per night for a dog to stay at our hotels

Holiday Insurance is not compulsory but is strongly recommended. For your protection and peace of mind we have arranged a special travel insurance scheme with ETI-International Travel Protection - who are regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). Emergency assistance is provided by Specialty Assistance Limited. The main benefits of our insurance are:

  • No Age Limit
  • Pre-existing Medical Conditions covered*
  • £12.00 for up to 5 days
  • £14.00 for up to 9 days
  • - 24 hour emergency assistance

*Except terminal or certain hospital-treated cases. Full terms and conditions are explained in the Insurance Policy, which will be sent to you with your booking confirmation upon receipt of payment. The policy contains a 14-day “cooling off” period in case you decide the insurance is unsuitable

Please ask our reservations staff as to the suitability of any particular holiday or hotel and we will make every effort to advise and assist you. All hotel receptions can be accessed without needing to climb steps. All hotels have a small number of ground floor rooms and a limited number of rooms that are close to lifts and can be accessed without any steps. There are also rooms with walk-in showers (if you are unable to use a bath) but numbers are limited and provision cannot always be guaranteed.

We are pleased to carry your folding wheelchairs in the luggage compartment of our coaches and we would request that you notify us of your intention to bring one. We regret that, due to health and safety regulations, we are unable to carry battery powered wheelchairs or mobility vehicles. Mobility scooters can be hired locally and delivered to each of our hotels.

If you do not advise us of any disabilities or any particular needs, we cannot be responsible for any inconvenience or costs incurred by you and this may include us having to refuse to take you on holiday.
